one could name them, say, COSMOS, which stands for
COmputer Simulating Mathematically Open Systems.
In a nutshell, COSMOS will be a competitive weapon.
Unlike the past 50 years, mathematics will become a
vital instrument of business survival & expansion at
the same level that say now you and me wear a watch
at the wrist... almost without realizing this fact.

In the field of applications, in the next 50 years, I think one of the
biggest impact of Mathematics will be in biology.
Mathematics and computational mathematics in particular will advance biology
this century as it did to physics the last century.
Biology is so complicated, that it is hopeless to imagine any one will be
able to find a cure to AIDS or CANCER or other such complicated diseases
without the help of simulation, modeling and mathematical analysis and the
most powerfull computers.
