Hallo,

how can I load a module like symmetrica into Sage?
? symmetrica works, symmetrica ? works, and help(symmetrica) works.

Thanks.

Symmetrica is a component of the Sage framework:

http://sagemath.org/links-components.html

"These software packages are used by Sage. Go to the Download Packages
page to get them if they are not already part of your Sage
installation."

Perhaps you could give an example of something related to Symmetrica
that does not work?

regards, chip

You would be far better asking on the sage-support mailing list. Just
join at

http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support?hl=en

then you can either post via google groups or via any mail client to:

sage-s...@googlegroups.com

help(symmetrica) has several examples of using this.

All is ok now. One can use Symmetrica directly in Sage - without loading.
Thank you.

(I used this forum because Sage forum needs registration at third parties.)

It does need registration, but that is to reduce spam. It is very
unusual to get spam there, whereas it is quite normal on
sci.math.symbolic.

You may find if you email it directly, your posts will get through,
but they will be moderated for a while.
