Hi,

I am studying a new type of high speed logic and its applications in high
performance computers. I am particularly interested in applications for
"interactive supercomputing", i.e. computation of heavy jobs on line.
Not being a supercomputer user myself, I would need some input from The Net.

I would be grateful if you could tell me what kind of problems you would like
to run interactively or where you would like to use a better model with higher
resolution. References to literature where the problem or algorithm is
described would also be appreciated. Note that my request is very general.
I am not out for any particular discipline.

Thanks in advance,

Typically, huge problems are run on the supercomputer because they are
too huge for workstations and so on. I can't imagine running my model
interactively even if resources are provided except to do some real time
graphics. And typically supercomputers are
accessed thru different nets because it's located elsewhere. I would be
happy if the net allows me to submit a batch job quickly instead of
having to wait for several seconds for reaction each time. I guess it
would be neat to do some graphics like animation with the supercomputer.
Why don't you study how to reduce the turn around time on some of these
supercomputers for batch jobs?

Note that this is a general answer to a general question.
