For the ambiguities below, is it the same in French, German, Spanish?

(or in those languages, do some ling. features exist
(not present in English) to distinguish some aspect ? )

A. [I want a drink] can mean:

(i'm thirsty) --- i want ANY drink. OR

i have a particular drink (cocktail) in mind.

B. (Mr.Monk says) [I know someone went through my desk.]

he doesn't know WHO did it. OR

he knows WHO did it (but didn't say it in that sentence).
