No vi la pelicula o sea que no te puedo dar una traduccion con comentario,
pero 'get shorty' quiere decir mas o menos (mas mas que menos) 'a por el
bajito' ... (es que shorty quiere decir bajito, quizas enano, pero no en
terminos medicos...).

I haven't seen the film but as I understand it, it is about a short
person (Danny de Vito I believe). This person is probably being
pursued by other (taller) people who are angry at him for one reason
or another, and wish him harm.

So, "get" means something like "search and destroy", and "shorty" is
the name or nickname of the vertically challenged individual to be
"got".

También no la ví la película, pero, de lo que entiendo, "Shorty" refiere
a una persona diminutiva. Entonces, "Get Shorty" significa algo como:
Agarre a Shorty o capture a Shorty. ¿Quizás?
