Hi

could someone please tell me what the Italian equivalent of Engl. Internet
provider /Dt. Internet Anbieter is? Somehow "fornitore di internet" sounds
akward to me, but I cannot find anything else. Any ideas?

Many thanks!
Anna

I don't even speak Italian, but there is a glossary, here,
that gives:

One translation of the English term Internet service provider
in Italian is provider di servizi Internet.

Thanks, I have seen that, but since "provider" is not Italian I was hoping
to find something .... more Italian!

Thank you for your answer!

Here, you have : fornitore di servizi internet

Un fornitore di servizi internet non può essere
costretto a filtrare il traffico degli utenti

I will end up speaking Italian;)

Are you aware that Italians have adopted tons of English words?

Provider is only one of them. Adding "di servizi Internet"
is usually not necessary, as approx. 99.9% of all instances
of this word in Italian refer to Internet service providers.

See also: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Service_Provider
http://www.treccani.it/vocabolario/tag/provider/
and http://www.treccani.it/enciclopedia/provider/

BTW, as you are using an Austrian address, may I ask you how
long you have been living abroad?

Best regards,
S.

I'm aware of that - unfortunately. Thank you for your comment.
