Wage: $1,330 - $1,789 monthly (DOE)
Personal breastfeeding experience required.
Direct personal knowledge of breastfeeding techniques and management of common
problems.
Must have appreciation and understanding of the importance of breastfeeding,
common barriers and challenges faced by new mothers.
Ability to be self-motivated and to occasionally work independently without
close supervision.
Demonstrated interest in, ability for working with, sensitive to and respect
for the cultural diversity and bias of target population group.
Must have valid California driver's license, proof of current auto insurance
and dependable personal transportation for home visits, attending meetings,
working at a different hospital to provide coverage, as needed.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Available to work dependable, flexible shift.
Requirements
Provide encouragement, support and assistance to breastfeeding mothers at
hospital bedside.
Provide telephone counseling and support to breastfeeding mothers.
Conduct home visits to provide breastfeeding mothers with education, assistance
and support.
Participate in data collection activities.
Meet established productivity and task management standard for assigned duties.
Overtime is a condition of employment and may be required based on the needs of
the Company.
Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Responsible for other tasks as may be required for efficient implementation of
the project.
This position requires a successful criminal conviction search for
