I have an AGFA ProColor Premiere currently attached to a Windows PC and
want to use it with a Macintosh (PM 7500). Does anyone know what driver
software I need to print to this film recorder, say from within
Photoshop? I don't think I need a hardware RIP since the current PC is
not using one. The recorder is a SCSI device so connecting is not a
problem. Is there a stand alone program or just a driver I could get
somewhere? Any help and/or pointers to locations is greatly appreciated.

A company called InkWell Software makes an excellent driver for the
AGFA cameras called FilmMagic Pro. There's a demo you can download
from their web page (http://www.inksoft.com/~inkwell). It's PowerMac
native and is very fast. It's a piece of cake to use, you just add
the files to the imaging queue and press the start button. I used to
waste a ton of time setting up files and shooting by trial and error
before this product came along. It's sold through a company called
Digital Orchard, (404) 325-5448. Give them a call and let me know if
you have any other questions about it.
