In November 1998, NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association)
presented Nobeltec with their 1998 NMEA Product Award of Excellence
for navigation software. This is the first time a software company
has been presented this award.
We at Nobeltec believe this award not only acknowledges the technical
superiority of the Visual Navigation Suite, and other Visual Series
products, but also acknowledges Nobeltec's contribution to the
advancement of the marine electronics industry as a whole.
NMEA is a national organization dedicated to unifying the marine
electronics industry. NMEA developed the well-known NMEA 0183
interface and has been responsible for a variety of other advances in
