Now that I've finally built a data cable for my Magellan 315 (it looks
like something Dr. Frankenstein created, but it works!!!), I've been
playing around with some of the waypoint/route/track management
software. OziExplorer looks good, but I was intrigued by one particular
feature in the GPS Utility program: its ability to load routes created
in the MapsOnUs website. But I've run into a problem that I'm hoping
someone can straighten me out on.

The instructions in the program's help file say to click on the "Raw
Route Description" on the route directions page. I can't find any such
option. Am I missing something, or has the format of the page changed.
If the former, hopefully someone will take pity on me and tell me where
it is. If the later, is there a work around? And yes, I've tried
loading the two available formats from the page, but the program can't
seem to deal with either one.

Thanks in advance for your help.

BTW, I haven't seen any US East Coast stashes yet. If no one else does
one, I guess I might have to. I wonder if Mayor Guiliani would mind one
in Central Park??? :-)

I just created a route on their site to check and still got the 'Raw Route
Description.' After defining the start and end points and creating the
route, you need to click for the 'turn by turn' directions. On the bottom
of this page is a place to click for the raw route description. That page
starts with a table that has the latitude and longitude of each turn and
information on the angle of the turn and new heading. This is followed by
another table that gives a detailed track for the trip with lat/long. pairs
for each track point. I've used the output of this site before on trips and
found it to work very well at creating a track in my GPS 12 that was very
close to our actual path.
BTW, if you aren't getting to this page, check some of the general options
that you have set at the MapsOnUs site - you should at least have the
lat/long option selected.
