NAVMAN DEBUTS THE iCN 630 PORTABLE IN-VEHICLE NAVIGATION SOLUTION

Navigation Leader Introduces Easy-to-Use, All-in-One Personal
Navigation Device Designed For Everyday Drivers

Las Vegas, NV – Navman, a leading designer and manufacturer of
world-class global positioning systems (GPS), communication and marine
products, announced today the release of its latest compact GPS
product for the consumer electronics and automotive personal
navigation markets. The iCN 630 is a portable in-vehicle navigation
product that matches innovative street mapping software, with the
latest GPS technology to create a safe, easy-to-use guidance system
for road warriors and casual drivers alike. Designed for portability
between vehicles, the unit is being unveiled today at the 2003
International Consumer Electronics Show.

The iCN 630, developed by Navman, based on the low-power,
high-performance Intel® PXA250 Applications Processor with Intel®
XScale™ Technology also employs the latest in ultra-clear,
ultra-bright, color TFT LCD screens and features a reliable
integrated, high-precision WAAS GPS antenna. The unit’s intuitive
graphical user interface is powered by Navman’s award-winning
navigation software, providing detailed street-level mapping for the
48 contiguous states and Hawaii (Western European maps sold
separately), address-to-address routing, Back-on-track? rerouting when
off-course and an extensive points-of-interest library. Large display
icons and easy-to-read maps provide an operator-friendly interface for
added safety while driving. The software is fully automatic and
provides voice guidance, in addition to visual driving instructions.
Map data for the iCN 630 is sourced from Navigation Technologies,
which supplies cartography for 100% of the North American in-vehicle
navigation market.

“The introduction of the iCN 630 is a direct response to the request
of our current, as well as potential customers, for a dedicated
navigation device that incorporates a user interface that is as
easy-to-use as the GPS 3420, our well-received iPAQ companion
product,” said Jeff Fellows, president of Navman USA. “Not everyone
owns a PDA, and not everyone who does wants to use it for the purpose
of in-vehicle navigation. Furthermore the dedicated nature of the iCN
630 allows us to maximize the unit’s processing power to produce
lightning-fast results in route calculation and data response time.
The benefits of our comprehensive guidance solution appeal to all
drivers.”

The iCN 630 design features a temperature-resistant magnesium case,
3.8” ¼ VGA TFT color display, integrated GPS antenna/receiver, 64MB of
RAM for system operation and 64MB of FLASH memory for map storage,
user profiles and system software. The device also includes a Secure
Digital? (SD) / MultiMediaCard? (MMC) memory expansion socket for
user-supplied SD or MMC cards containing extra map data. Maps are
transferred to the unit via USB communication with a personal
computer. Additional features include a 7 key, tactical keypad with
8-way pan button, an internal 2” (50mm) speaker and a coaxial
connector for an optional external antenna. The Navman system comes
complete with a versatile mounting bracket, a standard 12 / 24 volt
cigarette lighter adapter for in-vehicle power and a soft protective
case.

Availability
The Navman iCN 630 will be available for purchase at electronics
stores nationwide in February and competitively priced at US$999.95.
An optional external antenna can also be purchased for US$79.95. For

NAVMAN INTRODUCES THE GPS 4400 NAVIGATION SOLUTION FOR
BLUETOOTH™-ENABLED POCKET PCS

Navigation Leader Marries the Power of Global Positioning with the
Convenience of Wireless

Las Vegas, NV – Navman, a leading designer and manufacturer of
world-class global positioning systems (GPS), communication and marine
products, announced today the release of its latest compact GPS
companion product for the Pocket PC and Tablet PC platforms.
The Navman
GPS 4400 is one of the industry’s first wireless GPS antennas, which
provides satellite connectivity to PDA’s utilizing Bluetooth
capability. The device, featuring Navman’s SmartST™ Professional
navigation software, adds another high-quality solution to the
company’s comprehensive line of GPS products. The GPS 4400 is being
unveiled at the 2003 International Consumer Electronics Show.

The GPS 4400, developed by Navman, is a complete street navigation
solution well suited for consumers and professionals, such as road
warriors, service technicians and field engineers who use
Bluetooth-enabled PDAs or Tablet PCs. The device features a
high-performance GPS receiver that provides accurate location
information within 5 meters. For optimal signal reception, its
versatile design, including a variety of mounts, allows for dash,
sunroof or rear window mounting. The GPS 4400 also features an
embedded, Class 2 Bluetooth transceiver, which is capable of
communicating with any Serial Port Profile Bluetooth device, within a
30’ radius. Bluetooth provides a strong and secure connection between
devices and also eliminates the need to use valuable memory/expansion
slots. The unit is equipped with a blinking blue LED that displays
connectivity status and a red LED for low battery indication.

“We design our companion products to help businesses and consumers
leverage their existing technology investments,” said Jeff Fellows,
president of Navman USA. “The GPS market is more popular than ever. By
introducing the GPS 4400, anyone with a Bluetooth-enabled Pocket PC
can, cost-effectively, take advantage of our high-end street
navigation solution without the need to upgrade to a new PDA.
Furthermore, by using Bluetooth to connect with our antenna wirelessly
we ensure our product’s compatibility with future Pocket PCs
regardless of form factor, making the
GPS 4400 a worthwhile investment for years to come.”

Powered by Navman’s award-winning navigation software, SmartST
Professional, the GPS 4400 provides detailed street-level mapping for
the 48 contiguous states and Hawaii (Western European maps sold
separately), address-to-address routing, Back-on-track? rerouting when
off-course and an extensive points-of-interest library. Large display
icons and easy-to-read maps provide an operator-friendly interface for
added safety while driving. The software is fully automatic and
provides voice, in addition to visual driving instructions. Map data
for SmartST Professional is sourced from Navigation Technologies,
which supplies cartography for 100% of the North American in-vehicle
navigation market.

“When designing PDA companion products mobility is one of our top
considerations,” said Rus Graham, vice president of marketing, Navman
USA. “Our products are packaged for vehicle navigation, but are
designed to allow our customers to do so much more. Navman GPS devices
can be used while walking or biking, and by loading various compatible
software packages on their PDA, consumers can use topographic maps for
hiking, marine charts for boating and aeronautical charts for flying.
Our products are even used by golfers, farmers and stargazers.”

The complete GPS 4400 solution includes a wireless GPS antenna,
SmartST Professional navigation software, a vehicle power adapter,
vehicle mounting brackets, and both an armband and lanyard for outdoor
personal use. The unit operates for a minimum of 10 hours on 3 AAA
Alkaline batteries (included).

Availability
The Navman GPS 4400 will be available for purchase at electronics
stores nationwide in May and will be competitively priced at
US$499.95. For more information on the GPS 4400, Navman USA and its
entire GPS product line, contact 866-628-6261 (toll-free), or visit

What happened to Canada on this product. Many of us go North of the border,
and they do not have any Canadian coverage listed.
