Hi NG,

I have bought a SysOn bluetooth GPS receiver. My goal is to receive
latitude and longitude from this device. I do following steps:

1) Connect the bluetooth device via Bluetooth Manager
2) Within the GPSViewer application set the GPS Protocol to NMEA and
the Port to 8 and the Baudrate to 38400
3) Select the device: SysOn GPS

But, it doesn`t work. I do not receive any data.

What could be the problem? Has anybode had the same problem?

Thank you very much

Rudi

Have you tried COM6? I can't recall the correct COM Port for the 5550 but
be aware that it is not always COM8, the 4150 for example is COM6.

Hi,
Using a iPAQ5550 and EMTAC BT GPS receiver here and all is fine. Set to
Com8 Bluetooth serial device. I take it the blue light is flashing on the
GPS? Nothing else such as Tom Tom installed?

Cheers,

M
