Why we have not seen solution, where antenna itself is connected
to the computer and the whole GPS-stuff is running in the computer?
This would be a nice piece of software and as I think, would sell
well too.

That would indeed be a nice piece of software. An antenna is certainly
not enough hardware IMHO. You want a full receiver implemented in
software? That would be quite a feat I think.

A PCI-GPS card? A friend and I discussed this just the other day. Sounds
really simple actually, simpler to make than the external variety. Most
folks shopping at someplace like Office Cheapo may not be inclined to get a
device that requires them to open up their laptop, but I think a lot of
people would.

I'm sure it would be easy to design. But as useful as a scree
on a submarine. Laptops don't have PCI slots.
