Question about hydrology databases

Hello everybody,

I am a Mexican researcher interested in knowing if there is such thing
as a metadata database about hydrology in the world. I found that
there are databases for soil information (ISRIC World Soil
Information) for free access but I haven't find so far databases
regardin rivers, lakes, dams, etc. Does anybody know about any
institution that holds a database with this information? If not at a
world scale, at least at a regional scale. Currently I am interested
about the Caribbean area.
