Lava fountains at Etna on December 22, 2020

Strong strombolian activity and lava fountaining were observed at Etna's Southeast Crater on December 22, 2020, after dense cloud cover prevented initial clear observations of strong explosive activity that started on December 21.

At 01:30 UTC on December 22, the seismic network detected a sharp increase in the average amplitude of the volcanic tremor in the Southeast Crater, rising to high values.

Starting at 04:19 UTC, strombolian activity suddenly evolved into lava fountaining, feeding two distinct lava flows -- one heading toward the southwest, branching west and east of Mount Frumento Supino, and the second heading eastward, inside the Bove Valley.

Analysis of surveillance camera images at 04:20 UTC revealed a small ground explosion in the Bove Valley, caused by the interaction of the lava flow and the snow cover.

Lava fountaining gradually subsided until it ceased at around 05:00 UTC.

Lava flow in Bove Valley has reached an estimated altitude of about 2 400 m (7 870 feet) at the time. The second lava flow was also still powered and the front stood at an estimated altitude of about 2 500 m (8 200 feet) a.s.l.

Volcanic tremor sharply decreased around 04:00 UTC, reaching average values. Infrasonic activity remained sustained and located mainly in the area of the Southeast Crater. Soil deformations monitoring networks no longer showed significant deformations.

In an update released at 16:38 UTC, INGV said lava flows were no longer being powered and have begun to cool. "Volcanic tremor exhibited modest fluctuations in the last few hours and currently stands at an average value."

Regarding infrasonic activity, there is a slight decrease in the number of infrasonic events; the sources are located mainly in the area of the Northeast Crater and, to a lesser extent, in the area of the Southeast Crater.

Soil deformations monitoring networks show no more significant deformations on high and medium-altitude station signals.

In geophysics, it is well known that hotspot volcanoes, like the volcanoes of the Hawaiian Islands, Réunion, Yellowstone, Galápagos, Iceland and many others, are hotspots that are fed by narrow streams of hot mantle rising from the Earth’s core–mantle boundary in a structure called a mantle plume. In fact, currently the estimate for the number of hotspots postulated to be fed by mantle plumes has increased to several thousands, by many geologists. Now, the question that one should ask, how can the temperature of the core of the Earth remain to be hotter than the surface of the Sun, taking into consideration that those volcanoes have been erupting for billions of years? In other words, if one takes into consideration the number of times hot spot volcanoes have erupted over the last 4.543 billion years how can the core of the Earth, remains to be hotter than the surface of the Sun? And, never mind about the rest of land volcanoes or the hundreds of thousands of submarine volcanoes. I think conventional theories have no chance of answering this question, This question can only be answered by Al Gore-Greta Thunberg Theory. Hahahahahahahahaha

Fascinating to see the weather fronts for a volcanic eruption with an anticyclone. This one, the 1041 south of Iceland is indicating the volcanic activity in Hawaii. Etna is given next to it, a low over Britain 995
It will be interesting to compare the data with met office charts with other volcanic eruptions. I presume that a polar point will indicate 80 degrees from the activity.

We had the three Highs across the page earlier but they are doubled here, meaning more, not a dual. Instead we have two mountains erupting. On the 5th just as Mars enters the picture with Jupiter and Saturn.

One in each hemisphere.

18:20 extra ordinarily silent for my #tinnitus but just now a short peep and the notion something is happening, as if an hand has just been clapped to my ear. It is nice that it is silent but in this case I would prefer to know what is going on.

Midnight's chart showed there has just been a breaking of the chain, a small eruption release of a warm front connected to some polar air (00:00Sunday 03Jan) I thought it should produce a small swarm but it produced this quake indicating Mars has begun to interfere with Jupiter and Saturn:
03-JAN-2021 12:38. 51.19N. 179.84W. Correction this is from the 2nd chart look elsewhere for the swarm. 6.1M. ANDREANOF ISLANDS, ALEUTIAN IS. 11360958
This has produced the run on the weather fronts from a pair of parallel fronts to a line that might be traceable up into the Aleutians from the coast of Georgia/Carolina USA (a cyclonic Low as seen in the NAEFS shown here yesterday)

Eruptions come after storms. This spell came once all of the solar system except mars was out of the way of the conjunction of the two gas giants Jupiter and Saturn The spell started I am expert enough to say, once the minor earthquakes caused by the uneveness of the lunar gravity joggled with that of Earth produced a 6.1 Magnitude and was followed in the last instance with a tropical storm in the I forget where but I could see immediately that it was man made hence the reaction I have posted charts for on:

As that storm faded the eruption was called by another quake of 6.1, thus all else being equal, we can now work on the baseline of Mars producing quakes of 6.1M. Multiples of which synergise.
It will be nice when Britain gets it own search engines so we can find stuff hidden by the American language-virus.

Michael’s piece is (intentionally?) fractured – it has a feel of breaking news or snippets of urgent information being sent throughout the night in a hope that action will be taken or decisions made. It grows into a frustrated dialogue towards the end as the giver of information becomes more desperate, goading people rather than just giving information.

I spent my life on the edge of the world never getting my feet wet. This podcast reminds me of a tidal sweep; it might be in the Hills but the bed of Lost Angels sounds like it might be in the tidal sweep of a Moonbay. Besides a lagoon, it also has the tidal sweep of a Moonbay I am guessing, I have never looked closer (as on Google Maps.)

With a moonbay the tidal sweep lifts the surface detritus so that it can be moved sideways and dropped wherever. I don't know why the clay stays under the sand, that doesn't make much sense. The hydraulics should lift the clay and keep it up, while the sand settles. But that never seems to happen. It is only during this scamvirus it can happen with the drift-people allowed to settle on the streetshores.

I always amazes me what I can read with the mind that was always able to see things differently and now has been enhanced by god at a stroke. Or is it just that I couldn't learn about astronomy without having to deal with the lies people tell about creation?
Things are always different for people committed to the truth. It make life problematic and very confining, being unwilling to compromise anything, yet being morally weak. Thankfully I was left with my sense of humour, so can live with it relatively peaceably.

Michael has set us quite a challenge to pick our way through unnatural events, mixtures of air from different parts of the world, volcanic eruptions, precise dates, Popocatapetl, Etna, terrorism, charts and meteorology. I will need more time to think of the connections.
