Yeah, El Nino. But it ain't gonna cause Earthquakes.
Similarly having 2 full moons in a month doesn't affect the weather,
nor create earthquakes.
But heck, I too can predict bad weather in England, and I'm thousands
of miles away.

I never said that he was kicked off the net. Why would I think he may
have been?
I was merely warning him that he is a shit as well as being in harm's
way. There is no need for him to dog my messages except to warn others
off me. I never pay him much heed if he thinks he is going to stop me
that way. Anyone following my stuff will already have put their shields
up without his help.
I imagine that should anyone follow me they will get off each time I
make a mistake. So no harm done there either.
I was trying to tell him that while he is doing his best to mess up my
threads, he is ignoring the warnings they contain. We are all in harms
way at the moment, it's just that living down that dead-end, dark alley
he does, he may be in for the worst of it -and so unecessarily.
Now be a good antagonist and tell me where I have been thumping the

From the FAQs uk.sci.weather:
"Singularities: climatologists have always been alive to the fact that
similar weather patterns/types occur at certain times of the year with
varying degrees of regularity - an annual 'singularity'. For a while,
before dynamical methods of long-range forecasting were used,
singularities were very popular, though controversial. The best known
(in the British Isles) are Buchan's spells & Lamb's singularities."
> I believe I have explained the cause and that the product is a either a
> large tropical or subtropical storm and their adjacent quakes (tornados
> for those broaching USA) or a large magnitude quake.
As ever of course the proof of the pudding and all that...
Before I go into the detail; there is a long lapse in the lunar
algorythm (complex of mathematical guestimates that give us the
ephemerides) that gives more than 9 days for this present spell. The
wet weather which looks likely will then gewt very much worse. And I
think it will be accompanied by yet more tragedy.
It is with sorrow not glee that I post this:
31st JULY 18:05 this was hot and humid and many thunderstorms and floods
hit the UK. There was worse elsewhere.
7th AUG 22:01. The wet spell.
16th AUG 01:24 The even wetter spell. The weather will be very unstable
but the singularity is for wet weather to continue.
23rd AUG 10:12 This again is wet weather.
30th AUG 02:22 And so is this -with the likelihood being for bad vibes
in Japan.
(That last btw was a blind guess.)
It will be interesting to note where the fireworks go off and what sort
of fireworks they turn out to be.
Once conditions become favorable for mud/land slides, shaking from an EQ
event could cause damage way beyond that expected for an event of a given
size.
Ralph Nesbitt
> <el...@no.spam> wrote in message

Or to put it another way:
Everything.
Wet weather in the UK? How unusual. The next thing you know, you'll get an
abundance of fog as well.
On top of the thundery spell
>we have just had in the UK, this would be a disaster for wheat farmers.
What does the saga of summer wheat farmers in the UK have to do with
earthquakes?
>
>But it would appear that worse in in store. The deep low approaching the

Oh heavens no! Those fools!
Now,
>we all know what that means -don't we folks.
>
It means that you are off topic yet again?
Michael, Why do you troll this group the way you do? It is obvious that you
just like to start flame wars. Have you ever thought that maybe it's a bit odd
to think that weather patterns in the UK, of all places, have anything to do
with anything?
I think you must have been a very unruly child because as an adult you sure
behave in a very disruptive manner. If you really do believe in all of the
things you say, one would think that you would seek out a group of people that
would support and encourage you. Instead you choose to disrupt an area that has
no use for your theories and musings. But why? Either you like to be told time
and again that you are either on drugs or insane, or you just like to irritate
other people. It's as if you are making some vain attempt to prove your manhood
to yourself via conflict while living vicariously through this "weatherlawyer"
personna you have created.
The tem itself, " weatherlawyer" smacks of a personality that is lacking
something, somewhere. What exactly would a "weatherlawyer" do? File suit
against every passing cumulus cloud that blocks your sun? "Weatherlawyer" makes
as much sense as someone that goes riding around on horseback, attacking
windmills with a giant toothbrush.
One day I would like you to tell me the story of how " weatherlawyer" came
about. Just please, don't do it in an area that won't welcome or appreciate the
tale.

Explanation of earthquake parameters and publication criteria.
Depth
Distance below sea level in kilometers.
33 km is used as a default depth for earthquakes determined to be
shallow, but whose depth is not satisfactorily determined by the data.
Default depths of 5 or 10 km are usually used in mid-continental areas
and on mid-ocean ridges since earthquakes in these areas are usually
shallower than 33 km.

COMMENTS
The regions shown in the comments column are usually
automatically-generated names from the Flinn-Engdahl (F-E) seismic and
geographical regionalization scheme. The boundaries of these regions
are
defined at one-degree intervals and therefore differ from irregular
political boundaries. More->
