It looks like the swarms that define "Hearing reports of earthquakes one place after another" just went critical. These Chinese quakes remind me of the storms that were redirected some time back, IIRC around the time Maui was hit with lasers.
What Typhoon would that have been I remember thinking its initial track was ridiculous someplace near the Philippines, then it crossed Japan and was directed away from China.
I can't find the track was it Lan?
