The Black Sea freezes over!
February 8, 2012

The Black sea off the coast of Odessa is frozen. An extremely rare
event. The last time it happened was in 1977. Listen carefully and you
can hear the ice creaking. In some places the ice is a foot and a half
thick.

Do you mean to imply "extremely rare these days"?
Hasn't the Sea at Odessa frozen around 20 times in the past 200 y?
And now there's an "extreme gap" of 30 years?

Do I hear a ker-blam?
