(max) and didn't see the effects which assuredly would take place in
the Portland metro area due to the Columbia River mouth to the Pacific
and its basin coupled also through the Willamette River. I assume it
has altitude data to do what it does, but it needs work.

I agree. It saves me time and I usually do take a moment to read some
of the links.

Charles Younger's daily list presents a barrier for me. The links
aren't in plain text, so I have to tell my newsgroup browser (which is
Agent and will not display HTML pages) to intentionally save away a
temporary file and invoke a web browser to display the links. That
extra step discourages me from casual use, especially given the daily
rate of the posts.
