You can melt a hole in lead sheet. Weld lead sheet.

U said melt solder, I didnt. I said it could melt a hole in lead
sheet., but it might solder coper pipe. Realy dont now what it could
do as I dont have any brand names, size of burner or size of tank.
Small propane tank and benzomatic torch or such can solder copper pipe
and melt some lead. With an Oxygen/Propane torch u can silver solder
and with cutting torch u can cut steel ceeper than using Oxgen
Acetalyne cutng torch. With the right popane burner u cn mk frg ad
melt mnetal fr cstng tgs aut br cns. With littl efert u culd blw u
slf up.

yes. what you do is get some really thick plate and a couple bottles of
propane. put the plate in a vice and heat it up. this will take awhile but
be patient. once you get it up to red heat, take a hacksaw and cut right
through it.

I recommend m-42 cobalt HSS hacksaw blades due to their performance at
such elevated temperatures.

sounds like you stopped JUST SHORT of success, my friend. Try it again, only
get it way hotter this time. I understand your anger and frustration at
being a failure, but keep your chin up and your pedal to the metal and sure
as shooting you'll be right as rain before

the problem is that oxy-fuel cutting is an oxidation type process, high
speed rust if you will.

Therefore when trying to cut metals that form a tough oxide layer such as
aluminium and stainless steel you will only melt the metal but the oxide
will prevent the cutting action from taking place.

You need a plasma cutter or possible you can try iron powder in conjunction
with your oxy fuel system

Wayne
