Cofounder, President - responsibilities included outsourcing, purchasing,
and sale of bulk active pharmaceuticals; establishing business relationship
with new customers; development and implementation of financial control and
reporting.

Self-employed Color Consultant - Specializing in color development to the
printing and chemical industries.
* Selected and evaluated a software system solution such as RasterServe for
Sun/Windows NT/95 including ColorWorld Calibrator X-Rite DTP 51X Colorimeter
to drive multiple color output devices such as inkjet and electrostatic
printers and color copiers.
* Provided extensive expertise in large format electrostatic, inkjet,
dye-sublimation, and laser printing.
* Developed digital ink, toners, and humidity control systems.

3/94 - 9/95 Sto Corp., Atlanta, GA, Sto AG, Germany.

Sto is a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture, and sale of
Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) including architectural
coatings. Worldwide sales are circa $500MM.
Manager, Color Application and Development Department - Responsibilities
included management of all color-related activities at Sto Corp.
* Purchased and set-up Datacolor Formulation System including CS-5
spectrophotometer, Chroma-CalcII/Chroma QC(r) paint/plastics formulation and
QC software, and accompanying hardware negotiating $6,000 saving.
* Created Colorant Files for all Sto products including various types of
acrylic stucco finishes and semi-glossy and matte architectural coatings
allowing to formulate any color with CIELAB DE @ D65 less than 0.5 after the
very first trial. Utilization of these new Databases resulted in up to $22
per pail saving and maximum elimination of organic pigments.
* Organized Corporate Color QC System by:
* measuring and storing the reflectance of more than 12,000 Sto Standard
Colors, Industry Standards, and samples submitted by customers, and
distributing them via LAN and E-mail;
* establishing color specification and tolerances for all Sto texture and
smooth-surface coatings;
* testing every batch produced buy comparing it with the computer-stored
Master Standard instead of visual assessment.
* Managed the laboratory personnel. Trained the lab and production
colorists at all company locations how to utilize the Colorant Files, create
and store color standards, formulate and correct various coatings, evaluate
Strength of Colorants and conduct color QC.
* Directed the mutual color program with the parent company Sto AG in
Weizen, Germany.
* Reduced product variation through Tinting Strength standardization.
Implemented SPC for color application.
* Developed in conjunction with Marketing Department new color standards for
Sto Interior Program.

Bondo - is the leader in the development, manufacturing, and sales of the
automotive refinishing products. Worldwide sales are app. $57MM.
Paint Chemist - Primary areas of responsibility included formulation of new
products, managing quality assurance procedures, technical training of
personnel.
* Initiated and organized purchase of the BYK-Gardner Color Measuring System
including Color-View(tm) 9000 spectrophotometer and Automatch(r) color
matching software.
* Created 100 exterior and interior vinyl colors matching 1991-1993 GM,
Ford, and Chrysler finishes. Reformulated 31 standard vinyl and urethane
coatings for Sherwin-Williams Co., designed for use in an intermix formula
to match OEM car interiors and bumpers. Reformulation reduced product cost
by 22%, resulting in savings of $800K per year.
* Reworked approximately 5,000 gallons of recalled mismatched products
yielding savings of $1MM.
* Wrote and implemented precise technological procedures for manufacturing
various epoxy and polyester-based adhesive products.

7/89 - 2/91 S.L. Gillman Paint Co., Atlanta, GA.

Gillman Paint specializes in industrial coatings including steel primers,
water-born paints, and anti-corrosive compounds.
Chemical Engineer - Areas of responsibility included formulation of all
types of coatings, development of enamels, primers, latex paints, as well as
high solids.
* Developed and formulated high solids, high gloss alkyd enamels, fast air
dry rust inhibitive primers, low VOC and water-based coatings.
* Employing the Macbeth Color-Eye(r) 3000 spectrophotometer and
Optimatch(tm) software created company's Colorant Database. Formulated over
150 new products yielding material cost and labor savings of $1.2K per year.
