Hi all,

Can some one recommend a solid referenece work on distillation columns?
I need "the everything you ever wanted to know about distillation but
didn't even know enough to ask" work. Can one buy distillation columns
from suppliers (in the 20 kg/hr to the 2,000 kg/hr range)? Are there
design consultants available? Where might I find them? Any and all help
would be apreciated.

Thanks,

A good book to get is *Distillation Design* by H.Z. Kister. It should be
considered the oracle for distillation column design.

Sorry, can't help you on the subject of finding surplus columns. Can
help you if you need trays, packing & internals though.
