Why don't we team up and create some chemical Engineering software ?
People with experience are welcome.

Look up OpSim on Sourceforge (www.sf.net)

Look up 'opensource chemical engineering' using a search engine - plenty
of postings in a forum set up just to discuss this.

There appear to be several problems:

* Time (my biggest problem)
* Competency (programming/algorithms)
* Disclosure (fear of trespassing on areas 'owned' by employer - my
contract states that any work I do, even in my own time, in my employer's
field belongs to them.)

Result: we tend to have starts, but no completion.

There was Sim42, but this has suffered from losing access to its VLE
companion module.

Best bet at the moment would be to contribute to Ascend. Even little
things, like user-friendly documentation & a robust installer.

Second best bet would be to contribute to DWSIM. Documentation would again
be good.

Both of these would provide a framework for your ozonation model.

Worst would be to start yet another project that gets no further than
ideas, and maybe a prototype user interface.
