How can a wind turbine be any uglier than a Greek rust bucket?
The answer is simple:
Everyone likes to watch _other_ people work. They also like the idea
that the ugly Greek freighter is only temporary. It's only there for
two hours before another ugly freighter arrives. The fact that
another ugly Greek freighter will always be replacing the previous
ugly Greek freighter for the next 8,900 years seems to be of minor
consequence.
The important thing is this: If ugly is moving then it's OK, even
scenic.
So the way to get wind farms off New England is to put them on jack
rigs and move them around two or 3 times a day.
