The following is an outline of the proceedings of the Institute of
Television Engineers of Japan that was held between July 27 - 29,
199

Two hundred forty two (242) papers were presented in 29 sessions
describing the latest results of research and/or testing, technical
presentations of new manufacturers, new facilities and operation
techniques, etc. relating to image electronics, image information
engineering, and broadcast engineering.

English language abstracts are available at no cost for many of the
sessions by e-mailing to David Andrews or me, Jack Bernstein, of
InterLingua at (japa...@aol.com) or by calling 310/792-3638.

Copies of the Japanese articles and/or translations of them are also
