Hello,

Is there somebody on the net, who can give me more information on semiconductor
of type TAG87. I don't know if it is a
Thyristor (SCR),programmable Unijunction transistor, or ... . I can't find the device description in the databooks
nor find a replacement type. The device is used in the Macintosh+ power supply
in the control circuit of the switching power transistor.
Probably the GA1055 is a replacement of this device but also of no data is
available.
Any technical information about this device and the availabality of this device
is very welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I have a TAG Semiconductor databook, and there is no such part listed.
This is curious, since it would appear to be their part. TAG specializes
in SCR and TRIACS. The book includes a cross-reference which has
obsolete TAGxxx parts, but that one is not mentioned.

The catalog lists a Belgium Distr:

Auriema
172A, Rue Brongniez
1070 Brussels

Tel: 2 523 62 95

Good Luck
