:)I have a Sharp Wizard OZ-7000 and the keyboard seems to be deteriorating
:)rapidly. It's over two years old and was purchased as a factory refurb from
:)Damark... still, it's been reliable up until now. It started with the "="
:)button in the lower right of the keyboard, and is spreading to the entire
:)right side and gradually leftwards as well. The buttons appear to stop
:)working; pressing hard or in different ways does no good. Yet if you're
:)patient and just keep tapping them, after 6 or 60 presses they begin working
:)perfectly until the next time it's turned off.
:)Is this a common problem? Is there a way to fix it? Has anyone managed to
:)open the cases on these things? (I've tried laptop computer case-crackers
:)and nothing seems able to pry it open) I'm not naive enough to think
:)there'll be a reasonably-priced replacement part available, of course... (I
:)showed it to a guy at the Sharp booth at Comdex and his reaction was
:)"Whoa-ho! I didn't know anyone was still using those!!")
