Big screen: New 100 metre wide screen for Celtic Park before
Commonwealth Games. A massive screen will be fitted at Celtic Park for
the opening ceremony of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games this
summer, it can be revealed.

On Thursday, Glasgow 2014 unveiled the first details of the dramatic
transformation planned for one of Scotland�s premier sporting venues
for the show-starter to the Games.

Celtic Park�s entire South Stand will be transformed into Glasgow�s
�Window on the Commonwealth� as a digital LED backdrop, which is the
largest screen of its kind ever seen in Europe, will be fitted.

The screen is around 100 metres wide and will play a key role in the
creation of a dramatic visual experience for the packed audience at
the stadium.

The screen will be used both to share images of events as they unfold
in the stadium itself as well as serving to connect the stadium to the
city and beyond.
