Hi-
I'm looking for a source for a flasher module used in emegency lights.
It's disk shaped, potted in clear epoxy about .5" diameter and .25" thick.
It has three wire leads, and is labeled:
HSD Melbourne Australia
This thing is activated by light (actually by dark), and flashes a 6 volt
100mA lamp at about 1Hz. I'd really appreciate any help in tracking down
the manufacturer.

Thanks,
Phillip

Are you using this flasher in something that you are trying to restore?
In other words, does it have to be an exact replacement, or would just
any flasher be OK. You could build a flasher into a small space with
some small components, like tantalums and 1/8W resistors, etc. And of
course, the right circuit.

This sounds like the gizmo used in roadworks safety lamps, {those yellow things}
maybe you could ask your local council where they get them from.

Cheers
