Does anyone know if there is a difference
between the ULN2003 and the ULN2003A? I realize that
in cases like this, the *A version is usually backwards
compatible with the regular kind, but I'm having some
problems with a ULN2003A in a circuit that calls for
a plain, old ULN2003, and I'm wondering if there is some
difference in the two chips that could account for this.

Thanks very much for any info.

: The Sprague ULN2003 datasheet states the 'A' version is a DIP package

: it is theirs, ask them.

Sprague semi is now Allegro semiconductor.
