VOLTAGE REGULATOR EQUIVALENT NEEDED

Hi,

I have a 12v voltage regulator which is used in the fual/temp guage of a
Vauxhall Cavalier ... it`s dead ! After going to the dealer who wanted #18
for a new one, I decided to try here at work .... problem is that it's an
(old?) ITT device which I can't find a replacement for ... the part number
is TCA70CY or TCA700Y. Can anyone please suggest a replacement part, such as
a 7812 or 7912 ????? (I need pin for pin).
