Remote Control Information Needed

I'm having trouble finding the manufacturer of the following chips:
PT2262
PT2272-M4
The first chip is an RF remote control transmitter and the second is the
receiver. They are in a system made in Korea but the importer would like me
to make an improved system and build it here in California. The Korean
company isn't any help, they just keep raising the price.

Before you ask, there are no other markings/logos on the chips, other than a
date code (8951 & 9105).
