For a $150 soldering pencil, Cooper Hand Tools doesn't have much in
the way of repair parts and documentation. However, you may be in
luck. If the pen refuses to start, or it takes a dozen times to get
it to ignite, it might not be the burner orifice. I replaced the tip
on a friends WPA2 and was amazed that it fixed the ignition problem.
If you have a spare tip, try it.
I couldn't find any exploded views or documentation on the WPA2. You
might be able to get something from Cooper. Call and ask.
If you feel ambitious, EMPTY THE GAS CHAMBER, remove the 4 Philips
screws, and give yourself a tour of the insides. Don't forget to take
a digital photo so that you can put it back together. Hopefully, the
orifice will be replaceable.
