Dead Tatung TV-any hope .. ?

Hi there ..
Our Tatung TV went belly up yesterday, apparently internal fuse is visibly
intact though I havent seen it. This was replaced-same problem.
External fuse was also replaced.
Initial symptoms were "crackle", then grey screen. On switching on the
following day, no signs of life. Apparently no SMPS activity (asked them
to listen to the set).
Is this likely to be terminal? I dont have access to the set so it is not
possible to inspect said fuse (its in the Channel Islands) ...

Likely a bad flyback (fryback) or HOT (hor o/p transistor). Has to
be checked by someone with the applicable equipment., esp if all
the fuses test OK.
