I am trying to find the specifications or a suitable replacement for a
Zener diode marked 18B2. It is from the power supply of a Panasonic VCR,
Model #PV-1363 (part D14). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be
e-mailed at Dohe...@aol.com

Does anyone have the specifications for a zener diode marked 18B2? It is
out of a Panasonic VCR power supply. Model number PV-1363. I have been
unsuccesful in trying to cross reference it. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

I assume it is D14? Use a 1N4746A (18V - 1 watt).

Sounds to me that this is the 18v zener crobar that these switching
supplies use.If you have a problem with the supply not regulating
this diode prevents excessive voltage from reaching the vcr circuits.
after you reolace it leave the power supply disconnected from the vcr
and see if it works first.

I found an 18B1 in my SK book which crosses to a 18Volt 1/2 Watt Zener.
The 18B2 is probably a 1 Watt Zener, but no guarantee.
