I have a Stanley garage door. opener model 3105.07. It was purchased
in 1982. It has a 1/3 hp motor and is a chain drive. Very reliable.

Last week the door stoped responding to the remote control unit and
the wall push button. Note, the motor starting capacitor is fine as
is the motor.

I took the circuit board assembly and the wiring harness out and set
them up on the bench for troulbe shooting.

The circuit board assembly has 3 relays(AIRPAX pn: 011-007155,
27A21D12 125).

One of the relays is for the light bulb(50 watts max).
The other two are for the up/down ac motor control.

I found the contacts(silver alloy) which control the ac to the motor
were burnt/pitted. I temporailly filed/cleaned the contacts on both
relays as a short term fix.

I would like to find a suitable replacment relay but Stanley Vemco
Inc. says they don't release any info(schematics/parts list) on its
garage door openers.
The resons given were:
1. saftey laws
2. code grabbing(remote control) violation laws
3. they stopped carrying/releasing any parts/info on all pre 1991
garge door openers due to saftey laws inacted after 1991.

I called AIRPAX in CT. They informed me they stopped making relays
years ago and that they didn't have any data sheets on that particular
relay but they did give me a source where I might be able purchase the
relays. This source bought up the remaining AIRPAX invertory of these
relays.

This source has the relays but does not have a data sheet.

Does anyone have the following:

1. a schematic and parts list for the Stanley Garage Door opener
circuit board #360-2390 (3105). Date: 8127, B/M 01, Freq. 310mhz

2. a data sheet for the relays: AIRPAX pn: 011-007155(27A21D12 125).
This is a single pole double throw relay. The coil is 350 ohms. I
believe it is a 12vdc operated coil. But i'm not sure what the
contact current rating is. If I knew this I could find a suitible
replacement. The pin arrangement is not a problem. So far I can't
find anyone that has a cross reference for this relay.

The motor is 120 vac, 60hz, single phase, 4.5amp. I would think a
contact rating of 10amps @120vac would work fine but I don't want to
take any chances.

Relays are not rocket science usually. You should be able to find a suitable
relay with a 12 V coil (check with a multimeter while yours is running) and
with contacts rated for a 1/3 HP or whatever inductive load. An electronics
distributor should have something.
