my Samsung Front load washing and drying machine 17Kg/9Kg model WD1172XVM is showing the error code dE1 after start has been pressed. I checked up the code on the net and it says its the door. so l changed the door switch but the problem is still there. what may be the cause?
Thanks

With open door, engage the switch with a screwdriver or pencil,
then hit the start button.
If the error goes away, the door is not hitting the switch correctly
and there is a mechanical problem.

If you dead-short the switch, does the code clear? If not, it is not the switch. The switch feeds a relay - check that.

Otherwise, unplug it for 10 minutes, and try again.

Thanks to all of you. I by passed the switches as suggested, but the code only cleared when i pushed the alternative release bar further. This is an indication that the solenoid inside the door switch mechanism is not working. Further diagnostics shows that the coil is ok but its not receiving power. Another problem detected was the valve for the inlet water does not energize ( receives no power)to let water in even though i set the solenoid to its working position (the error displayed now is 4E)I wish i can get schematic to trace the power to both the water inlet valve and the door solenoid.
Thank you all once again.

I don't know if this will help but my GE front load washer had the
same problem. It turned out that the door latch assembly had several
contacts in it and that water leaking into the latch assembly from a
torn door gasket had deposited a soap film on the contacts. I replaced
the gasket and took apart the door latch assembly, cleaned all the
contacts, and returned it to service. Then everything worked. The
washer would not fill with water nor would the latch solenoid engage
if any of the door latch contacts were not making contact when they
were supposed to.
