Wavy picture at top of screen on dinosaur TV when playing VCR tapes

Actually the problem is in the horizontal afc/oscillator circuit of
older tv sets. Different manufacturers had various modifications to the
horizontal circuits that worked pretty well. Most of the Zeniths had an
updated plug in module you could purchase to correct the problem. If
your tv has modules you might want to call a tuner and module rebuilder
named PTS give them your model number and see if an updated horizontal

Not easily remedied. Use a different TV.
