Hi,

I have a 24" Sony flat trinitron monitor, model GDM-FW900 that has the following symtomps:
1) During warm up the brightness is very high, then it slowly reduces to normal in about 30
minutes, which is the normal
warm up time said by Sony
2) I have set the picture to occupy exactly the full width and height of the screen. During warm
up the picture size is
bigger (extends beyond the screen size), then slowy reduces to what I have set it in about 30
minutes.
3) The brightness is at 29, and the contrast is set at 89.
4) The picture is a little blurry during warm up.

Can you please help me with it:
1) What could be causing it and/or how to rectify it. I have the service manual.
2) How bad is it if I ignore it?

Thanks,
Vladi

Sorry for the late response, but from my experience with this sort of
monitor (Sony flatscreens) everything you describe is normal.
