I currently use a Semicon diode data book, an old Motorola book and
snippings from various catalogues to help identify 'unknown' diodes. The
problem devices are often zeners with obscure markings. Can anyone recommend
a good data book covering all diodes, ideally available in the UK?

I've just updated my ECA book on 2SC/D etc types, very good, but am wary of
buying the latest A...BUZ types as my older 1997 book was poor for diodes.

Steve,
I've had good luck with Tower's books, but I don't know if they have
one for diodes. You can order them from Maplin. (www.maplin.co.uk)
