I had an extender board designed very similar to the VME extender
board except with the more dense PCI connectors. This was supposed to
be used for testing modules in a VME style chassis. The extender board
exhibits a length of 400mm or 15.74inches. Now I am having trouble
sending a loopback message over the SCSA bus. After transmitting a
walking '1's test pattern, I receive a walking '11' showing a trailing
bit high.
I am running tests on this bus at speeds up to 16MHz.
Is there any way I can modify our existing extender board to prevent
this problem?
Maybe series inductive loading? (This might slow down the signal too
much)
And what are the consequences?
Thanx for your input...
