Thats strange, i have seen Sansui branded Elcheapo TV's & VCR's at
a mega store in Nebraska somewhat recently. Maybe not the same
Sansui, but someone else must have bought the name.

Sansui has been long gone for years.
The last company that actually supported the units with the Sansui name
also went bankrupt about 5 years ago, Hi-Quality international.
Currently the name is being passed around to different junk manufactures
to market stuff with the name.
No hope at ever getting Sansui parts unless you find an old Sansui
authorized servicer from the 1970's that is still in business, but you
will pay high dollar for any part. i.e. $100 for volume control on a
9090!!!

Last year I think, here in Québec, the Zeller store was sellingSansui VCRs.
I checked on the back or on the box to see if the name of the OEM was there
. Yes = ORION with an addres in Ontario.

It was a hit and run. They sold them for a couple of months, then they
disapeared. They started selling White Westinghouse VCRs.

Every couple of months , they change .

You can still buy new Sansui hi-fi in the UK eg CD players, cassette decks.
Wonder if it is old stock? I don't think we've ever had Sansui VCRs here
though.

Have a look at www.sansui.co.jp. It looks like they do still exist.
BTW, I've got a Sansui 210 tuner-amp hooked up and running right now.
Brilliant signal quality and sensitivity.
