No picture from tuner in Samsung TV

Hi!
I have Samsung TV model TXH2756 wich have no picture and sound from
tuner (black screen - display O.K.). From Video input picture and sound
are good.
I tried to store Byte "0" & "1" from service menu without success.

Do u have tuning volts at the tuner and do they move when u try to tune
something. rather than replace a bad tuner www.mces.co.uk will repair bad
tuners..

Do you have any way to insert an IF signal?

Yes I did insert IF signal, but still no picture. The display was O.K..
I tried even to borrow IF signal from the tuner, and fit to the
analizer, but there was nothing coming from the tuner. I don't have a
schematic for this TV, but if there is EEPROM problem, the schematic
will not help me that much anyway. I need some advice on what to do
next. Hope you can help.

If it won't display a picture from an IF signal, it's not likely the
tuner. What are the CRT board voltages? Some recent Samsungs have
failures of the big jungle IC, TDA????, but verify the CRT voltages
first.

The set may have a supply voltage failure to the IF and or tuner
module. You would have to measure the supply volts, and also varify if
there is control data going to the tuner unit. You then must varify if
the tuner is putting out signal to the IF if all other criterias are
within specs.

If the tuner or IF module is bad, they are normaly simply replaced.
There are some places that are setup to rebuild these modules. The
cost sometimes comes close to the price of a new module.
