A friend has recently picked up a bunch of 9515 002 and the somewhat
similar 9518 002 for which the specs are the same but without the
1024X768 mode.
No schematics for either, only the PS2 'Display Hardware Maintenance
Manual - Vol 1' which merely prescribes "replace card tray assembly'
for almost every trivial problem : -(

Seems a pity to bin them: are there any non-MCA cards that will drive
them, or has anyone the information on how to modify them to work
from VGA/SVGA cards?

The line-scan side is obviously more difficult than the frame: even
at the bottom end of the horiz freq adjustment the scan/EHT just
collapsed, on one I tried, and linearity/pincushion had gone haywire
before that.

I know that cards made by Mirage will drive them. And I think that
there are alternatives. I believe that we have modified some here
where I work to do VGA (can't recall the model 15 or 18, I think it
was the 15 but not sure). It's a pretty simple mod. But if there's
also something wrong with a certain monitor, that might complicate
modifying it. I don't have my notes in front of me :(.
