I have a 25" Zenith Concierge television (Model no. H25W35DT) that has
stopped responding to ANY remote control.

I was in the System Setup menu (via 9,8,7,6 enter) attempting to
enable the AUX channel and I believe I disabled the remote control
sensor entirely.

I cannot turn the unit on, cannot adjust the volume, or change the
channel with the remotes (I bought a universal remote and it isn't
working either).

The front of the unit has 10 buttons (labelled from left to right:
Caption, blank, blank, blank, blank, Vol up, Vol down, Channel up,
Channel down, Power)

I'm hoping there's a guru out there who knows how to reverse whatever
on earth I did to this thing because I'm at the end of my abilities.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't played with too many of those models but I seem to remember
that some of those required some sort of master remoter to re-enable
the set to respond to customer remotes. On some of there other
sets, they have an option to switch the set to PL(private label) mode
for use with an admiral or wards remote,in wich case the zenith remote
would no longer work when you exited the menu.Try those brand codes
with your universal remote.
Good Luck

Sounds like you set it to "Motel" mode. May need service to unlock it.

I have the same problem with one of my two 25" Zenith TVs. Both
remotes correctly operate one of the TV sets and neither of the two
remotes operate the other TV. I did manage to get the bad TV to
respond by sharply rapping the top right corner and on another
ocassion the botton left side corner of the case. Apparently I have an
intermittant solder joint.

Ryan,
Someone else mentioned that the service MENU remote setting may have
been accidently changed to to PL (private label) and needs to be changed
back. Fortunately, you can access the service MENU from the front panel of
the set by pressing the CAPTIONS button for 5 seconds (until the current
MENU disappears), then pressing VOL UP and CHAN UP simultaniously to get
the menu. Use CHAN UP/DN and VOL UP/DN to access the functions and change
the setting. Press CAPTIONS to exit.
