Tandberg TV

I have a loved old Tandberg colour TV which, when turned on, produces
nothing on the screen but makes a one beep per second noise which is
unaffected by any controls. I have had a stroll round inside and
checked the many and various fuses but found none blown. Is this a
landfill job?
