Hello,
I have a Sharp VHS Camcorder, the Slimcam VL-L50U. When I put in a
tape, the viewfinder display gives an error message of E007. Do any of
you have information on what the error codes mean for this camcorder?

You have a "loading/servo error".

Sharp VL-L80 S/M shows error code E007= " Capstan FG pulses are missing".
Not sure error codes are the same for your model, but likely so.
Check any Alu. Elect. caps used in Capstan servo circuits including the
motor board itself.
