What exactly is an RFU adapter? Is it a transformer of some kind or a
"glorified" splitter of some sorts?
Also, can you get them any cheaper than $35.00?
Thanks DAVE
What this does is convert your AV signals to a TV channel signal. Almost
every home consumer VCR can do this. If you don't have a VCR, you can buy
a junk one (one that doesn't play tapes but receives TV stations) for
about five bucks. Use the Audio and Video inputs of the VCR for the WEB
TV device and the output of the VCR for the channel three or four on the
TV. Usually a VCR will have a switch on the front for selecting the AV
jacks or can be tuned to an AV channel (such as 0).
Rip Shack does sell a unit for about $30 that can do this as well. The
sad thing is I've seen the SAME device for less than $10 at flea markets.
