Ron and Bill,
Thanks for your replies.
The top and sides do seem to be OK, it seems that just the bottom
is a little tilted upward. About 1/4-1/2 inch from left to right.
Went to Best Buy today and some of the TV's that were playing a laser
disc movie looked like mine, the bottom of the letterbox movie tilted
slightly upward on 2 or 3 of the sets, especially the Sony. I just noticed
that even the volume green level is tilted slightly upward, would the
on screen controls still indicate the yoke? Is not there some remote
command in the service mode that could fix this minor linearity problem?
Bill, when you say in-home service job and then say carrying it around is
required which do you mean? Is this worth getting fixed, don't want to mess
with it to acquire a more serious problem?
Thanks for your help, really do not want to lug this thing up 2 flights
of stairs to return if I don't have to so your suggestions are appreciated.
Best Regards,
Jim
It should be simple to fix be a SONY service, ,maybe as easy as
accessing the factor menu or a minor yoke adjustment.
If they want to pull it have it replaced by the store if allow,
servicer should be able to do it inplace.
