One day my TV was perfect, then I turned it on the next day and the picture
does not fit on the screen properly. It doesn't really seem stretched,
though, just bigger. Like I have a 35" 4:3 TV screen, but now the picture
just looks about like a 38" or 39" TV screen would, but just centered on my
35". Anybody know what this means?

Does the screen size vary with brightness control? (if it has one) If so,
you have a problem in the high voltage regulator circuit. Not a job for an
amateur.

Does your TV have a Make and Model number,
this would be helpfull in trying to diagnose your fault.

The picture does not change with brightness control

The TV is an RCA model # F31700GG

it does look like the corners of thepicture are being warped away from the
TV.

If it's a Zenith, did someone turn on the magnify feature
and forget about it?

Common failure for the pincushion circuit in that CTC169 chassis.
Do leave it unplugged until it gets fixed.

Good Luck,
